Sharing Hero Stories

Imagine heading straight into four or five massive walls of water. This 68 year old man braved the tsunami to save his boat so he could help his village after the destruction. His was the only boat for 20 days after the earthquake to ferry people and supplies. Stories like this give us hope.

Begging for Popularity?

When I first saw FastCompany’s Influence Project, I joined to help my friend Ken McArthur. Next time I looked at the project, I was surprised to see myself near the top. A few days later, I was talking to a “customer care” representative and having a hard time getting my request heard. After I told her she didn’t want me blogging or tweeting about her company since I was one of The Top 20 People of Influence online, I got through to the supervisor who could help me.

I’m a Blogger! YES!

Hello!

I’ve been locked out of my blog since October. Nine months and no baby to show for it!

After “tweeting my life away” for almost four years, it’s wonderful to be able to ignore the amount of characters typed. Makes me wonder if Twitter has changed my writing… hmmm, I could read my old blogs and see.

Acknowledge Abundance

So many of my wonderful friends and even family members love to talk about Abundance. They’ve watched The Secret, read inspirational books, articles, blogs, and joined thousands of Abundance conversations. That’s all simply wonderful.

Summer for ALL Children

Sending all children around the world on a summer vacation would be so wonderful.

In 2008, The Fresh Air Fund’s Volunteer Host Family program, called Friendly Town, gave close to 5,000 New York City boys and girls, ages six to 18, free summer experiences in the country and the suburbs. Volunteer host families shared their friendship and homes up to two weeks or more in 13 Northeastern states from Virginia to Maine and Canada.
